Getting in without the damage
Most lockouts can be opened without harming the door or lock. Our locksmiths pick or bypass the lock using proper tools, so in most cases you're inside with your lock still working and nothing to replace.
Some high-security locks and damaged cylinders can't be opened that way. If drilling is the only option, we'll tell you before we start and fit a new lock straight away so you're not left with an open door.
House and unit lockouts
For apartments, we'll need to get through the building's front door. If you can't, let us know when you call and we'll work out access with you, whether that's a neighbour, the building manager or the strata contact.
Locked out of a rental? We can open the door, but tell your landlord or agent if a lock is replaced so they have a key.
Car lockouts

- Photo ID showing the address, or another document that proves you live there

Can you open any door?
We can open the vast majority of residential and commercial doors. Some high-security locks need more time or a cylinder replacement, and we'll tell you on the phone if that's likely.
I've lost my keys. Should I change the locks?
If your keys had your address on them, or might have been stolen, it's worth rekeying. Rekeying is usually cheaper than replacing the locks and makes the old keys useless.
Do you need proof I live there?
Yes. We ask for ID or a document with the address before we open any property or car.
